Meet Milva Barragan

My Background

Over the past 30 years, I’ve supported individuals and couples through emotional, spiritual, and relational transformation. My training and experience span both clinical and contemplative worlds.

I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapy in the State of Florida. In Colombia, I am a licensed psychologist with a longstanding interest in depth psychology, parts work, and integrative approaches to healing.

While my clinical background deeply informs my lens, the services I offer through Psychintegrate Consulting are not psychotherapy. This work is for those who are psychologically stable and seeking personal growth, relational deepening, and embodied transformation.

The heart Behind the Work

Outside of my professional work, my life has been shaped by a deep and ongoing exploration of my inner world. This personal journey—marked by navigating trauma, cultural expectations, and social burdens—has not only informed my growth but also deepened my capacity to sit with the complexities of others.

Traveling and connecting with diverse cultures, and witnessing the beauty and pain held in different communities has taught me that, beneath it all, we share a common human longing for connection, safety, and belonging. These experiences have made me a multicultural, multidiverse, and open-hearted human being—committed to meeting each person with compassion, curiosity, and respect for their full humanity.

From an Exile (Anonymous)

I have no country but memory—
its borders shifting with each dream.
My tongue is stitched from fragments
of lullabies, farewells,
and letters never sent.

I left not with a suitcase
but with silence in my hands,
learning to plant it in foreign soil
and wait for something like belonging.

At night, I build a home
from the smoke of another land’s hearth,
and in the morning,
I wake with dust in my mouth—
half prayer, half hunger.

They call it exile,
but I call it becoming.
